Albert Park Circuit

This beautiful circuit was developed in Melbourne's Albert Park in central Melbourne. Easy access by tram, buses etc., plenty of accommodation nearby and extremely good viewing vantage points ensure its ongoing popularity with drivers and fans alike. It is a very high speed course, making it tough on engines. Fuel efficiency is also an important factor here. For several years, Albert Park has been host to the season opener; however, this year it would have coincided with another international event, seeing it moved to the third race on the calendar.

Access

Approximately 5 minutes by tram (streetcar) from downtown Melbourne. Melbourne is a little over 1 hour by plane from Sydney. (Airport: MELBOURNE)

Climate

April in Australia coincides with late summer to early autumn. Even so, daytime temperatures can exceed 30 degrees C.
