Gilles Villeneuve Circuit

This is a picturesque circuit surrounded by water. It is a traditional "stop and go" style layout with two hairpins that link two straights, with its extremely high speeds in the fastest straight. The breeze that blows across the river flowing down the sides of the course feels great to the spectators, but as a crosswind, can play havoc with machine control. The circuit is located close to downtown Montreal and as such, is a great course for spectators.

Access

A subway from downtown Montreal takes you to Ste. Helene Station, from where it is approximately 5 minutes'walk. (Airport: MONTREAL)

Climate

This is early summer in Canada, and the pleasant breezes blowing off the Saint Lawrence River make the climate quite comfortable.
