Suzuka International Racing Course
This circuit is located in the mountains surrounding Ise Bay. The course layout is very unique, featuring a figure-of-eight shape with a two-level crossing. Consisting of medium-high-speed corners and two straights, the average speed for the course is high; however, it is also extremely demanding on driver skill. It is also quite narrow and therefore offers few overtaking opportunities. It offers a good array of amenities, with a huge theme park and hotels located right at the circuit. There are many Japanese fans eager to see how Panasonic Toyota Racing will fare here this year.
Access
By train it is approximately 40 minutes from Nagoya or 1 1/2 hours from Osaka to Shirako Station, then 20 minutes by bus or taxi. (Airport: NAGOYA, KANKU)
Climate
It is a pleasant time of year to visit; however, it does rain quite often, which brings a chill to the air. Probably best to bring rain gear or an umbrella.
