Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace

This course is located in the outskirts of Sao Paulo and is only one of three Formula One circuits that run counter-clockwise; the others being San Marino and Turkey. Of these, Interlagos features many tight corners that place a lot of strain on the drivers' necks. It is also well-known for its bumpy surface that takes a heavy toll on the drivers and machines alike. And at 800 metres above sea level, it is the highest positioned Grand Prix of the calendar. The low air pressure also means less engine output than at other courses. Finding optimal set-up for the Formula One machines calls for maximum skill.

Access

Approximately 40 minutes by taxi from downtown San Paolo. Tourists are advised not to use the bus. (Airport: SAO PAULO)

Climate

Located high up on a plateau, the climate is perfect. However, with rain showers a common occurrence, it is advisable to take along a raincoat or umbrella.
