In the early stages of the race, Ralf’s many years of experience showed as he staved off the champion’s relentless pursuit.

Starting from 8th on the grid, Jarno had his sights on a top points finish, only to lose vital positions at the start to the dirty track.

The team concentrated on pit drills from Friday and made use of lessons learnt for faultless pit stops on race day.

Ralf’s form got better and better throughout the 3 days of competition. He summed it up, saying “The race was great.”

Ralf usually performs well at Hungaroring and this year was no different, seeing him finish in 6th to tie with the team’s best result this season.

Even Jarno was hard pressed to recover the positions he lost at the start on the extremely narrow course at Hungaroring.

Panasonic Toyota Racing’s form continues to improve – it shouldn’t be too long now before they move up into the top rankings!
