Silverstone Circuit

Silverstone is an historic course that played host to the inaugural Formula One Grand Prix in 1950. It is a high-speed circuit that was originally the site of an aerodrome; however, it is far more than a so-called stop-and-go course, featuring a host of highlights including continuous high-speed corners. It is also a circuit that is tough on tyres, with a key point to watch being the ability of drivers to control their machines as their tyres wear down.

Access

There is a shuttle bus from Northampton Station, which is approximately 1 hour by train from London. (Airport: HEATHROW, GATWICK)

Climate

Summer in England is quite comfortable. However, it is best to have rain gear just in case of bad weather.
