Valencia

Valencia was one of two new additions to the 2008 season, the other being Singapore. As the season line-up already includes another in Spain – Barcelona – the Valencia race taken over as the Grand Prix of Europe. The course itself is a street circuit that winds through the streets of the waterfront area of Valencia, which is, interestingly, the site of another famous race – the America’s Cup. Despite it being a street circuit, as the course runs around the harbour, there are a number of straights, so expect to see some high-speed competition here.

Access

Access to the track is easy from either Valencia or Alicante International Airport in the Region of Valencia; however, as there are no direct flights from Japan, you will have to transfer at Frankfurt or similar feeder airports.

Climate

Situated on the Mediterranean coast, Valencia boasts lovely warm weather throughout the year, though summer can get quite hot.
